Wow!!!!! I can't believe what you just sent me, and I am so grateful to you for sharing this overwhelm system!
I understand everything you said, I have been thinking of exactly these points for the past 3 days. I have decided to give way less attention to negative thoughts and reactions, and am well aware of where that has been leading me for a long time.
I have decided to stop reacting as much as possible, and am currently doing MY Laundry, and hope to find a home this week, you never know. I have a good realtor and check each day myself as well.
Gotta go for now, keep up the good work, you are a great MOM, a great student, and a marvelous WOMAN. I am so happy to have your e-mails and support. I have an online support group called CARING.COM, mainly women from the USA, who have spouse with dementia and Alzheimers in varying degrees, and have a lot on their plate. We bounce off each other, and it has taught me lots about how to cope, and share, and drop some of the complaining. I am becoming a better person because of this site and yours.
I don't get out much, but I can handle that better now, and am working on my clutter. On the TV show The Hoarders, the other night, (the only one I watch on TV), they said exactly what you did about making excuses for not doing anything, and " I have a head-ache, a back-ache, I am overwhelmed, you are to blame, etc, etc. I got it right away, and knew I was making excuses in other ways, as my spouse, and son have been as well, hmmmm!
Have a great week, and thanks again.
